Leg Health Assessment

Ready to talk about your leg heath?

How we can help

What this service involves

During your leg health assessment, we take time to understand your symptoms, medical history and any changes you’ve noticed in your legs. We’ll look at things like swelling, varicose veins, skin changes, discomfort or heaviness, and how these affect your day‑to‑day life.

Your assessment is carried out by an experienced nurse with a background in vascular care. We use a calm, thorough approach to help you understand what may be contributing to your symptoms.

How we can help

You’ll receive clear, practical guidance in plain language. Together, we can:

  • Talk through what your symptoms may mean

  • Discuss lifestyle factors that can support leg health

  • Suggest simple measures that may help with comfort and mobility

  • Advise when it would be sensible to see your GP or a vascular specialist

  • Provide an assessment including an Ankle Brachial Pressure Indices

  • Offer advice on the use of compression hosiery

There is plenty of time for questions, and you are welcome to bring any previous letters or test results if you have them.

Who this is for

Leg health assessments are designed for adults who:

  • Have ongoing leg symptoms such as swelling, aching, heaviness or visible veins

  • Have noticed skin changes on the lower legs and want to understand them better

  • Would value time with an experienced nurse to talk things through in a supportive setting

Important

This service does not replace urgent or emergency medical care. If you have sudden pain, severe swelling, breathlessness, chest pain, or any other worrying symptoms, please contact your GP, NHS 111 or emergency services immediately.

A calm space to talk about your skin concerns with an experienced nurse prescriber.

You’ll receive clear, evidence‑based advice in plain language. Together, we can:

  • Review your current skincare and simplify where needed

  • Talk about lifestyle factors that may be affecting your skin

  • Discuss prescription options you may wish to explore with your GP or specialist

  • Plan realistic next steps that feel manageable for you

There is plenty of time for questions, and you are welcome to bring photos or notes if that helps.

Anti‑ageing support

For clients who are looking for subtle, natural changes, we can also discuss anti‑ageing treatments in a sympathetic and realistic way. This may include prescription‑strength retinoids or injectable treatments, where appropriate, to support skin quality and confidence rather than drastic change.

Future treatment options

Once Elements Wellness Clinic is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we plan to offer additional skin services, such as:

  • Scar treatment, including microneedling

  • Laser treatment for certain scars and skin concerns

  • Red light therapy to support skin health

  • Cryotherapy for certain skin tags and warts

Cryotherapy and any other lesion‑based treatments are not a diagnostic service. Any lesion must be reviewed by your doctor first to confirm it is benign before any treatment can take place.

Who this is for

Skin consultations are designed for adults (18+) who are struggling with ongoing skin concerns such as acne, sensitivity, redness or texture changes, and would value time with an experienced nurse to talk things through.

Important

This service does not replace urgent or emergency medical care. If you have worrying, rapidly changing or severe symptoms, please contact your GP, NHS 111 or emergency services.
